Archt. Dhananjana Ameresekere, Managing Director of Design One Ltd, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Double-Major in Architecture and Economics from Yale University, and with a Master of Architecture Degree, with Prizes and Awards, from the University of Pennsylvania, both IVY League prestigious US Universities. He is a Member of the American Institute of Architects and of the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects, and is a certified Green Mark Manager of the Building and Construction Authority of Singapore. His Architectural Designs have won numerous Awards in the US and Singapore, where he was with the reputed firm Architects 61 Pte Ltd., winning the 8 Tower Cape Royale Project, with several other Award winning developments in Sentosa Island. He decided to return home to continue practice, and was the Chief Consultant Architect on the Team of Consultants, who refurbished the Kingsbury Hotel in the Colombo City, for which he won a Presidential Award.
