Associate - Façades, BuroHappold Engineering

Victoria is an Associate with the Buro Happold Facades team based in Hong Kong. She has been with Buro Happold for 9 years between London and Hong Kong with experience on projects around the world including UK, Europe, North America, Southeast Asia and China. Victoria is a Chartered Engineer through the Institute of Structural Engineers Glass Enclosures specialism and has worked on various structural projects such as pre-cast, post-tensioned concrete buildings, long span steel frames, before focusing on facades and building envelope design.

Victoria has particular interests in designing facades with complex geometry, unique structural arrangements and large scale public art installations. She has been involved in projects from initial concept design through to procurement and on site construction on a wide range of commercial, residential and transport developments.

For the last few years Victoria has been leading the facade design of the new Morpheus Hotel at City of Dreams, Macau, designed by the world famous architect ZahaHadid. The project, the world’s first free-form exoskeleton high rise tower, has an ambitious organic free-form exoskeleton and a wide variety of differing glazing systems, housing entertainment complex, luxury accommodation, international dining, retail and gaming areas under one roof.
