10th Oct 2019, Aula Medica, Stockholm

About the Event

Like the human skin is the largest and most important organ of our bodies, the building skin/envelope fulfills the same functions and is the most important part of a building. The envelope protects us from external influences such as sun, wind, temperature, rain but also noise and air pollution. It provides us with light (vitamin D), solar/wind energy and security and has the potential of becoming an ecosystem of its own giving us clean water (rain water cleaning) and food (vertical farming) and having its own infrastructure. Taking a cue from this, Zak brings its globally acclaimed conference series Zak World of Façades to Sweden on the theme of Living Quality & Healthy Environment Through Smart & Sustainable Building Envelopes.

Zak World of Façades is an International conference series on façade design & engineering having attracted over 20,766 delegates across its 61 completed editions. The conference is currently being organised in 25 countries in the Middle East (UAE, Qatar, Kuwait & Saudi Arabia), South Asia (India & Sri Lanka), South East Asia (Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam & Indonesia), East Asia (South Korea & Greater China), Africa (Kenya, Egypt, Morocco & South Africa), Europe (United Kingdom, France, Germany & Sweden), Australasia (Australia & New Zealand) and the United States of America. This will be the 71st global edition of the conference.

The day is all about knowledge sharing in the world of façades!
