Group Managing Director, SE Controls
Will Perkins is the Group Managing Director of smoke and natural ventilation specialists SE Controls. The Group which operates in the UK, Europe, Middle East, Africa, India and Asia has been developing innovative automation solutions with the façade industry for over 40 years. Will is a long-standing member of the smoke control industry and has actively participated in the drafting of many British and European standards. He is the Convenor of CEN TC191/WG7 and was heavily involved in the production of several of the EN12101 product standards which cover smoke control systems. He was also the Convenor of BS7346 part 8 which covers the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of smoke control systems. Will has been instrumental in the development and introduction of a third-party competence accreditation scheme in response to Dame Judith Hackitt’s call to industry to raise the bar.
An economics graduate from Lancaster University, Will joined SE Controls after working in the franchising industry nurturing new start-ups and has been the driving force behind the evolution of SE Controls into a globally recognised brand.
