Principal, WZMH Architects
Zenon Radewych is a Principal at Toronto-based WZMH Architects. He has directed multi-disciplinary consultant teams on some of the firm’s largest projects. In 2017, Zenon has spearheaded the firm’s research and development into prefab/modular and offsite construction as well as smart building technologies with a focus on low-voltage and IoT enabled systems as well as green energy solutions. The lab is known today as Sparkbird. In the past few years, part of Sparkbird’s focus is the development of smart and green technologies integrated into the building envelope, such as Building Integrated Photovoltaics and green energy producing devices that are part of curtainwall assemblies. Zenon has overseen the development and completion of 10 different smart building solutions some of which are ready for manufacturing. The firm’s development of an Intelligent Structural Panel, with plug-and-play infrastructure that allows wireless control of building systems made it the first architecture firm to participate in Microsoft’s global Internet of Things Insider Labs accelerator.
