Principal, V-Fo Architects
Luis Fernández de Ortega is an Architect by the Anahuac University in Mexico City. He studied a Master’s degree in Interior Design with the University of Salamanca and a diploma in Construction Administration with the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
He began his career as a designer in 1988. In 1997, he joined the international firm HOK in Mexico City where he worked on various types of industrial, corporate, residential, sports, mixed-use, urban planning, residential and corporate interiors.
In 2008, he acquired his LEED AP accreditation as part of his commitment to sustainability and understanding of environmental certification rules and systems for his international clients.
In 2009, he founded the firm VFO Architects with his partner Juan Andrés Vergara and since then he has served as Design Director where he leads various work teams and his role is to understand the needs and aspirations of his clients to translate them into sustainable architectural solutions.
