L. Benjamín Romano has completed projects with international recognition such as Torre Reforma, in Mexico City, the first LEED Platinum building in Mexico, and recognized as “The Best Skyscraper in the World” by the International Highrise Award 2018, as well as one of “The 50 most influential skyscrapers in the world of the last 50 years” by the CTBUH. Romano’s style allows him to combine design, functionality, and financial efficiency in each one of his projects. He has been recognized with the Gold Medal at the XIV National Biennial of Mexican Architecture 2016; the Augusto A. Álvarez Award 2014, by the Federation of Architects of Mexico; the Luis Barragán Award for Professional Merit. Recent projects include the Puerto Vallarta Airport, which will be the first Zero Energy terminal in Latin America.

Another of Romano’s passions is teaching. In 2016-2017 he was invited as a resident expert to teach at Harvard University’s School of Design and Architecture. He also taught the Construction Workshop at the Department of Architecture at the Universidad Iberoamericana for more than two decades.
