Lizette is a facade design specialist with over a decade of international experience. She is driven by a keen interest to future-proof existing and emergent materials and methods in the context of a world moving swiftly towards zero carbon.
In early 2023, Lizette co-founded INSIDE X OUTSIDE (IXO) with Vimal Karpe. Headquartered in Hong Kong, IXO is a positive impact firm. By focusing on the environmental and societal benefits of city-scale decarbonisation, Lizette and Vimal bring their deep technical knowledge of downstream “majority materials” – which we define as primary structure and envelope – to upstream decision makers.
With a breadth and depth of knowledge attained across multiple sectors – through work with designers, architects, developers and contractors – IXO’s alternative engineering ethos is governed by pragmatism, curiosity and collaboration.
