Viggo Haremst

Viggo Haremst is a Design Director at Henning Larsen, where he plays a central role in shaping the studio’s international design leadership. Based in Copenhagen and operating globally, Viggo leads the design direction of the practice’s international projects while overseeing strategic market development across the Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions.

Since joining Henning Larsen in 2008, Viggo has been instrumental in advancing the studio’s global footprint, leading prize-winning competitions and projects across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. His portfolio spans a wide range of typologies, including cultural buildings, masterplans, higher education, and commercial developments. A key focus of his work is guiding complex international design processes, from early competition stages through delivery, while maintaining close client relationships and aligning projects with Henning Larsen’s design philosophy.

Viggo has played a pivotal role in establishing Henning Larsen’s presence in Australia, contributing to landmark projects such as Lighthouse at Darling Park in Sydney, 101 Albert Street in Brisbane, and the Canberra Theatre. His leadership was instrumental in opening the studio’s Sydney office in 2023.
