Design Director, Exteriors - Asia Region, Permasteelisa Gartner Hong Kong
Charles started his career in the aluminium windows and doors industry in Singapore and has since accumulated 20 years of working experience in the field of façade design and engineering.
An opportunity in 2008 took him to the Middle East, where he joined the Permasteelisa Gartner Dubai office to work on Qatar’s Al Hamad International Airport.
Following the project’s completion, he moved to the Permasteelisa Group’s office in Shanghai, China to undertake a local management role of the design office, and was involved RPBW’s first project in China – The OōEli Complex, Hangzhou.
He subsequently relocated to Hong Kong in 2018 to work on the M+ Museum, and has now taken on a regional role, overseeing Permasteelisa’s design offices in Asia.
In his free time – where available – he likes to zone out on his bicycle during long rides, take on road trips in places less travelled and capture mesmerizing images on his little camera.
