Project Leader, Studio Gang
Architect Anika Schwarzwald is a Project Leader in Studio Gang’s New York office, where she works on cultural, educational, and civic projects. She has contributed to many projects since joining Studio Gang, including the Gilder Center for Science, Education, and Innovation at the American Museum of Natural History, the Thinning Ice exhibition at Design Miami, and the National Aquarium Strategic Master Plan. Anika is driven by an exploration of choreographic notation in architecture. Her research includes Djema el Fna square in Marrakesh and how its activities are understood by UNESCO to delineate a space of Intangible Cultural Heritage. She earned her Master of Architecture from Princeton University and worked as an architect and studio instructor at Rice University School of Architecture.
