Rune Stokstad has an extensive career with over 25 years of expertice as a facade specialist.
He holds a Siv.Ing degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and possesses a VDC certificate from Standford University. Currently, he serves as the Committee leader for the Norwegian CEN delegation, working on the development of the new glass Standard NS-EN-19100.
In his early career, Rune spent a decade as the Marketing Manager for Permasteelisa Group SPA, where he was involved in projects in the UK and other specialized markets. Permasteelisa is a major player in the globale fasade industry, renowned for its national and international high-rise cladding projects and advanced façade technologies. Their portfolio includes iconic projects such as The Gugenheim museum in Bilbao, The Shard in London, One World Trade Center in New York, and The Gherkin in London.
Since 2007, Rune has held the position of Leader at the Competence Center within NCC Building AS Norway. In this role, he is responsible for providing comprehensive support to NCC projects in Norway and occasionally in Sweeden, Finland and Denmark. This support encompasses early-stage design, engineering, procurement, and planning.
Throughout his career, Rune has played an important role in numerous large-scale projects, including the North Zealand Hospital in Denmark, Kineum in Sweden, WeLand in Finland, and HSBC in the United Kingdom, among many others.
