Managing Director, Werner Sobek
Daniel Torakai is Managing Director of Werner Sobek Frankfurt GmbH & Co. KG. He is a civil engineer and studied at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern. He wrote his thesis on self-powered skyscrapers at the Illinois Institute of Technology at the Department of Architecture in Chicago. Daniel Torakai has been part of Werner Sobek’s group of companies since 2011. After Stuttgart, Moscow and London, he has been Managing Director at Werner Sobek Frankfurt since 2021. In recent years, Mr Torakai has worked on major national and international projects. These include, among others: Stuttgart 21, Kuwait International Airport or the new high-rise ensemble in Frankfurt FOUR. Mr Torakai teaches Textile Architecture at the Institute for Lightweight Design and Construction (ILEK) at the University of Stuttgart and Sketching for Engineers at the HfT in Stuttgart. He teaches high-rise buildings in solid construction at the University of Frankfurt.
