Jessica Young, RA, joined Heintges in 2005, and has extensive experience managing academic, healthcare, and cultural projects with a focus on unifying building envelope performance with the Architect’s aesthetic vision. She is excited about opportunities to integrate opaque materials into facade design to meet the challenges of increasingly stringent energy codes, sustainability initiatives, and occupant comfort. As a Principal at Heintges, Jess develops office educational resources, provides training and mentorship for junior staff, and fosters peer collaboration through the firm’s internal R&D program. In addition to working on the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, Jess has collaborated on complex, high-profile facades across the U.S. including the Corning Museum of Glass – North Wing Expansion, the new Disney Headquarters in Hudson Square New York, and the recently opened Paulson Center at NYU. A registered architect in Massachusetts and New York, Jess holds a Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University’s GSAPP.
