Façade Engineer, Meinhardt
Sofia has gained experience and knowledge of the façade industry working on a variety of commercial and residential projects in the UK. She studied civil engineering in Rome where she specialised and focussed her master’s course in building structures. Through strengthening her skills in thermal analysis, Sofia recently gained Chartered status with the UK Engineering Council through her membership of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE).
She likes to embrace the many challenging, and often conflicting, drivers during the façade engineering design process and enthusiastically suggests solutions where limitations emerge. She believes strongly in sharing knowledge and continuous learning as a way of building collaborative team environments as well as enabling professionals to stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends.
