Project Engineer, Thornton Tomasetti
Valentini joined Thornton Tomasetti’s UK façade team in 2018. She holds an architectural diploma from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and a Master’s in Building Technology from the Technical University of Delft (TU Delft). Having initially gained professional experience in the Netherlands prior to moving to London, she has a diverse background, having worked on projects across the UK and Europe with a particular focus on the academic and architectural sectors.
As a Project Façade Engineer, Valentini has contributed to a wide variety of projects, working with a range of façade systems and materials across multiple sectors, including public health, residential, and commercial tower developments. Her expertise encompasses engineering design and advanced analysis at all stages of a project, from concept design to detailed and technical design. Additionally, Valentini has experience with 3D printing technology for building components and in recent years, she has played a pivotal role in Thornton Tomasetti’s development of a parametric design tool aimed at calculating the embodied carbon in façades.
