Director & Founder, Avanti Architecture
Marco brings over 15 years of international and local experience in the building industry, with a career spanning Italy, the UK, and Kenya. A native of Florence, Italy, he has a diverse background, having worked on projects ranging from custom-designed architectural components to large-scale mixed-use masterplanning.
While in London, Marco contributed to the design of high-end residential projects and led the design development team for the Battersea Power Station refurbishment at Rafael Vinoly Architects. His experience also includes being part of the delivery team for the acclaimed Antinori Winery in Italy.
Since his arrival in Nairobi in 2008, he has worked on numerous large-scale projects, including residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality developments. He later supervised the construction of the English Point Marina in Mombasa.
As the co-founder and Managing Director of Avanti Architecture Ltd., Marco is a registered Architect in Kenya (BORAQS, AAK) and a chartered member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). He holds a master’s degree in Urban Design from Oxford Brookes University.
