Project Leader, Krueck Sexton Partners
Stephen Shatswell is a designer, thinker, and problem solver with over 14 years of experience spanning civic, housing, transportation, and hospitality projects. He believes great architecture emerges from the balance of creativity, research, and craft, approaching each challenge with a holistic mindset that values every scale—from concept to detail.
Stephen’s work often bridges the full arc of design, from early programming to construction, where he sees architects not as relay-runners but as shepherds of design. He holds degrees from the University of Illinois and the University of Washington, and outside the studio he can be found renovating his 100-year-old Chicago bungalow.
