Vice Director, Thornton Tomasetti
Dr. Kevin Dang is a licensed Structural Engineer and Senior Associate at Thornton Tomasetti, where he provides strategic leadership for the firm’s operations and project delivery in Vietnam. Since joining Thornton Tomasetti in 2016, he has played a key role in guiding the structural design of high-rise, mixed-use, and complex building projects across Vietnam, Southeast Asia, and international markets.
Based in Ho Chi Minh City, Dr. Dang oversees project management, client engagement, business development, and technical training for the Vietnam office. He leads multidisciplinary coordination with architects, developers, contractors, and global TT teams to ensure that each project benefits from innovative structural solutions, rigorous technical standards, and a strong focus on constructability and performance.
His experience spans concept design through construction administration, with a portfolio that includes tall towers, institutional facilities, and developments requiring advanced structural systems and integrated façade–structure strategies. Dr. Dang is also committed to cultivating the next generation of engineers through mentorship and professional development initiatives.
With a combination of technical depth, regional insight, and leadership experience, Dr. Kevin Dang contributes a forward-looking perspective to high-rise and façade engineering discussions at both national and international levels.
