Gareth Winstanley is an experienced structural and façade engineer with more than 25 years of international experience across the Asia, the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand. Specialising in structural glass, tension and cable structures, curtain wall systems, architectural stone and cladding remediation, he has led the design and delivery of a wide range of complex façade solutions for commercial, civic, and high-performance buildings.
Gareth’s work is grounded in a deep understanding of Australian statutory regulations and compliance frameworks, particularly those influencing façade design and building performance. Recently, Gareth has been actively engaged in industry consultation around the NSW Design and Building Practitioners Act (DBPA), participating in roundtable discussions and ongoing dialogue with the NSW Building Commission. His experience and insight into regulatory reform, design practitioner obligations, and risk management have positioned him as a valued contributor to industry conversations and a selected panellist for this conference.
