Architect, Behnisch Architekten

Michelle specializes in façade design, computational techniques, digital fabrication, building model simulation, and material research in the Boston office of Behnisch. Through her collaboration with leading fabricators of mass timber, glass, lightweight membranes, terra cotta, and metal forming, Michelle has been instrumental in bringing novel material and fabrication approaches to advance sustainable design strategies at the office. Michelle led the façade design of the Vagelos Laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania as well as the award-winning façade for the Harvard Science and Engineering Complex. Prior to joining Behnisch, Michelle practiced in Paris and Los Angeles where she worked on the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris, the Broad Museum in LA, and the Louvre Abu Dhabi. She studied studio art and history at Swarthmore College and received her Master of Architecture and Master in Urban Planning at Harvard Graduate School of Design.
