Rakesh Thakur is a design professional with around 28 years of rich experience across the real estate, design consultancy and construction side of building industry. Having served as the overall Design Head and Architecture Head in leading organisations , brings a comprehensive 360-degree perspective of the building industry – from concept and master planning to detailed design, procurement, construction and project delivery.
Rakesh’s experience spans complex, multidisciplinary projects across mixed-use townships, urban design, commercial and hospitality developments, tech parks, luxury and affordable housing, healthcare, institutional and infrastructure projects. He has worked extensively with leading Indian and international architects, designers, engineers and consultants, coordinating architecture with structure, MEP and façade systems to deliver integrated design solutions.
Currently serving as Vice President – Design at BPTP, he has previously held senior design leadership roles with DLF, Adani Airports, Shapoorji Pallonji and IREO. A graduate of the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, he bring design sensitivity with strong expertise in design management, sustainability, technology, BIM, value engineering and execution.
