Partner, 3XN
Fred Holt joined 3XN in 2010 following his work on a variety of projects while working in NYC and London, and become partner in 2015. Having experience in a wide range of phases, Fred’s primary focus is on the front end of projects focusing on the design and then carrying that design through detail development with a focus on designing around program and site constraints, creating a more environmentally sustainable approach. Based on his experience through a variety of building typologies, he brings a level of expertise to projects that have a proper balance between design and “know-how.” While at 3XN, Fred has been designing, developing and managing projects ranging from a Museum and Learning Center in Moscow to Mixed-use towers in Sweden and India, as well as the new headquarters for the IOC in Lausanne. He is also the project architect and Partner-in-Charge through the development of the Quay Quarter Tower and key phases leading up to the design application submittal for the City of Sydney, through design development and now construction, focusing closely on the design aspects of the project. Fred heads the 3XN Australia studio and is heavily involved in a wide range of projects in the country, including the new Sydney Fish Market, Quay Quarter Tower and the UNSW Student Building.
