François Gillardeau

Deputy Managing Director, Schüco International SCS

Having graduated in general engineering from the Ecole des Arts et Métiers, François Gillardeau completed his marketing training with a Master’s degree from ESSEC. Having joined Schüco in 2007, he took over as head of its Aluminium Division in 2010, moving on to his current appointment as Deputy CEO in 2015.

With responsibility for sales and marketing in France and export markets, he leads the sales teams of all four strategic segments of the company.

Developing sales through specification; following up partners, architects and designers; supporting the Schüco network of manufacturers and installers. In collaboration with his German and UK counterparts, he also leads the dedicated façade creation special projects team.

As the raw material for Schüco, aluminium gives François Gillardeau ‘food for thought’. As Chairman of the Environment Committee of the French National Federation of Aluminium Fabricators, he is working with other industry stakeholders on the lifelong recycling and recovery of this material. His ultimate goal is to drastically reduce the carbon footprint of aluminium, from its manufacture through to its recycling. He responds to demand from his direct and indirect customers with material that is increasingly more efficient and highly compatible with the virtuous principles that underpin sustainable construction.
