David has over 18 years of international experience in both environmental design and building services engineering. He specializes in combining building environmental design principles, computational simulation capabilities and practical engineering design knowledge to realise exceptional quality internal environments that are low-energy use, easy-to-operate and maintain. He has a training in architecture and provides a much needed linkage between architectural and environmental engineering design disciplines; facilitating high-quality integrated design outcomes.
His expertise in environmental design covers daylight and solar design, thermal comfort, energy efficiency, ventilation performance and other broader sustainability aspects. He currently teaches environmental design on Undergraduate and Masters programs at the University of Melbourne.
David is a full member of AIRAH and CIBSE. He is also a Certified Passivhaus Designer and is experienced with local and international sustainability assessment methods such as Green Star, BREEAM and LEED.
