Director, Omnii
Jonathan is a Director in Omnii’s Brisbane office and has over 15 years’ experience in the fire engineering sector. Jonathan specialises in the development of performance-based fire engineering solutions for buildings, structures and infrastructure projects. In addition to consultancy experience, Jonathan has an extensive background with the New Zealand Fire Service (NZFS), covering operational firefighting, fire investigation and fire engineering.
Jonathan has been extensively involved with combustible cladding issues in Queensland and across Australia over the past year, and is very familiar with how the requirements of the Building and Construction Legislation (Non-conforming Building Products— Chain of Responsibility and Other Matters) Amendment Act 2017 relate to existing buildings with combustible cladding. Jonathan is working with the newly introduced Building and Other Legislation (Cladding) Amendment Regulation 2018 to develop solutions to resolve cladding compliance issues in Queensland.
