Design Director, Hill International
Since leaving the prestigious Royal College of Art in 1994, Rico has worked on a variety of projects, winning a number of design awards within his career. Having more than 20 years’ experience within interior design and architecture, ten years site and project execution. Rico had worked with some of the leading consultancies and developers such as Populous. KCA international, KEO, AECOM, Nakheel, ICT, QPM and Hill International. Since moving to the GCC, Rico had worked on a number of prestigious projects such as Palm Jabel Ali, Dubai International Airport, Nation Towers, Orientalist Museum Qatar, ASAS Marina Towers, and QIMC Towers Doha; taking projects from concept and detail design to implementation and execution.
Rico’s strong Design Knowledge encompasses: Stadiums, Arenas, Airports, Shopping Malls, Towers, Museums, Hotels and residential ; The comprehensive and extensive design skills acquired through Rico’s Carrier allowed him to implement works, with a determination to complete and deliver comprehensive solutions to diverse projects, without compromising design objectives .This is complemented along with an integral attitude and spirit to his chosen profession and his clients, thus maintaining exceptional high standards.
Currently Rico is design director with Hill International, which has project managed numerous Iconic projects such as the National Museum Qatar, ASAS Marina Towers, and QIMC Towers along with numerous other projects within Qatar and around the world.
Currently Rico is working as Design Director with his team of six engineers at Hill International on QIMC Towers. The project encompasses three towers on a 4 story podium (Residential, Commercial and a hotel) and due to be finish 2021 and is a designated building for the QATAR 2022 World cup.
