Strategic Procurement Manager, Sir Robert McAlpine
Daryl Roots is responsible for the strategic procurement of façade packages across the UK for Sir Robert McAlpine. He has over 20 years’ experience in construction procurement with blue chip main contractors.
Daryl has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) for the past 12 years.
Starting his career at Mowlem as a trainee buyer, Daryl’s career history includes a ten year stint with Laing O’Rourke where he was responsible for the procurement of a number of major construction projects in London. A four year spell at Mace followed, where he is was responsible for development of the procurement strategies for schemes including the redevelopment of Television Centre and Chelsea Barracks.
Daryl started in his role at Sir Robert McAlpine in December last year.
