Alan leads Ramboll’s Timber design innovations and has over 15 years’ experience as a structural engineer, working in a wide range of sectors across the UK and Europe.
He has worked on over 100 timber buildings and leads Ramboll’s International Timber Network design group, which focuses on innovative ideas, research and knowledge sharing.
He has developed Ramboll’s in-house timber specialism over the last decade building up a large portfolio of boundary pushing timber projects and led the way with various publications and thought leadership pieces to increase knowledge and understanding of timber construction within the construction industry.
