Director of DfMA, HTA Design
Alex Hughes has over twenty years’ international experience in built environment working with specialist companies developing, manufacturing and assembling intelligent systems, innovative materials and ‘production-friendly’ processes. His current role is part of the Sustainable Futures team at HTA Design LLP focussing on developing multi-disciplinary and collaborative approaches delivering high quality residential projects using Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), Offsite Manufacturing (OSM) and DfMA.
Alex was responsible for developing the NUbuild Modular System Design (CLT volumetric) for Swan Housing Association, including first Housing Association BOPAS Accreditation for house and multi-storey products.
