Alex Wraight

Partner, Allies & Morrison

Alex trained at The University of Nottingham where his work was twice exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. He joined Allies and Morrison in 2000, having worked in Dublin and Malaysia. Alex became a Partner of the practice in 2015.

Alex has a wide experience across a range of project sectors and at all design stages and has acted as Project Director on many commercial, residential and education projects for the practice. He was a pivotal member of the team that delivered Bankside 123, a 1,200,000sqft mixed-use development adjacent to the Tate Modern which won regional and national BCO awards for Corporate Workplace and a RIBA Award in 2008.

He is currently leading our team for the Michael Uren Biomedical Engineering Research Hub, a project for Imperial College London at their White City campus won through a design competition. In addition, Alex is working with King’s College London on a commercial and residential development in Canada Water and with British Land on Four Kingdom Street, a 140,000sqft commercial building at PaddingtonCentral due for completion in early 2017.

Alex sat on the Architecture Group within the Technical Affairs Committee of the British Council of Offices for the production of their 2009 Guide to Specification.
