Associate, Arup
Alexis (Lex) is an expert in brick, architectural ceramics and clay materials. He works for Arup in London as a materials consultant and façade designer dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of brick, stone and terracotta facades. He has worked with leading architects, contractors and manufacturers globally on projects which push the boundaries of these materials technically, aesthetically and in terms of sustainability.
Lex also leads failure investigations and expert witness work on cladding, and designs, specifies and evaluates unique façade systems and products. He has been a judge on the Brick Awards for over a decade and leads the Sustainability category judging panel. Lex also chairs the Brickmakers Quality Charter, advocating for ethics, environmental best practice and quality across the global brickmaking community.
