Facade Design Engineer, Ramboll
Amaldev Premkumar is a UK-based Façade Engineer at Ramboll, specialising in sustainable digital workflows. As a member of Ramboll’s specialist digital groups, he applies emerging technologies to automate façade engineering processes, including embodied carbon assessments and thermal performance optimisation, ensuring regulatory compliance.
He holds a Master’s degree in Building and Architectural Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. His background includes research into AR-assisted façade assembly and digital fabrication, aimed at reducing material waste and improving installation precision.
A recognised rising professional, Amaldev was part of the winning team in the Digital Innovation category at the SFE Awards in 2024 and 2025, and has presented his research at the 2025 Advanced Building Skins Conference in Bern.
