Façade Engineering, Sweco
I’m Andreas Limnell, a Façade Engineer, who has studied Structural Engineering, Building Materials and Building Physics at the Aalto University in Espoo, Finland. I’ve been working with Facades for more than 16 years, from High-Rise to Hybrid structures, with glass, aluminium, wood, steel, light-weight sandwich panels and more.
I’m a corresponding member in the ECCS TWG 7.9 – Sandwich Panels and related Subjects and actively commenting on the development of the new glass Eurocodes and Finnish national standards.
I’m usually involved in the project from the concept design all the way through testing and supervision of the execution. During my career I’ve had to face a lot of challenges in many demanding projects, which have taught me a great deal about the world of Façades.
