Antonio Furukawa is a designer with over 20 years of experience on both urban and campus projects with emphasis on learning environments and student life. His work aims for the integration of different design disciplines into a cohesive architectural synthesis through a multi-disciplinary approach to design, seeking integration of existing context, landscape, and sustainable best practices.
Antonio’s skills include all architectural design phases from program definition and organization, concept design, project documentation and coordination to construction administration.
His expertise includes sports, institutional, hospitality, and urban planning projects in the United States, Asia, and Latin America. His recent work includes architectural implementation from planning projects with a clear understanding and integration of the climate, the social and the economic realities of the sites.
Antonio is certified as LEED AP BD+C. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Universidad Ricardo Palma in Lima, Peru, and a Master of Architecture from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. He also participated in the LA/LA: Los Angeles/Latin America Program at SCI-Arc.
