Ashwin Shah

Senior Associate, Zaha Hadid Architects

Ashwin Shah joined ZHA in 2012 and has since contributed to a variety of projects across Asia, Europe, and North Africa. His portfolio includes airports, transport hubs, towers, performing arts, museums, residential, and mixed-use developments.

Ashwin has contributed to significant transportation projects, including Navi Mumbai International Airport, Western Sydney International Airport, and Terminal 3B Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport. His contributions extend to other key ZHA projects, such as the Jumeirah Nanjing Hotel & International Youth Cultural Centre, Taikang Financial Centre in Wuhan, Mercury Tower in Malta, and the Unicorn Island Masterplan in Chengdu.

Ashwin began his career at ZHA as a member of the ZHA Computation and Design research group (ZHA CODE) and now focuses on project delivery. He also serves as a trustee director on the EBT (Employee Benefit Trust) of ZHA.

Ashwin completed his Bachelor of Architecture with distinction from The National Institute of Technology in India and his Master of Architecture and Urbanism from the Design Research Laboratory (DRL) at the Architectural Association (AA) in London. Since graduating, he has been part of numerous visiting schools in India and currently tutors for the Patrik  Schumaker studio at AA DRL.
