Basil started out in the construction industry with his apprenticeship as a metal worker. After his years as a craftsman, he remained loyal to metal, but switched from the craft to the office with a degree in civil engineering, specialising in façade and metal construction. After several specialised years of scientific work at the university and in companies, he has gained experience in the development, testing and certification of window and glazing systems. In his search for sustainable constructions, material diversity and instruments for ecological assessment, he then ended up in construction physics. However, the desire for an activity with an effective sustainable impact remained, so Basil joined Zirkular in 2021, where he is now responsible for the technical expertise division together with Charlotte Bofinger.
