Principal, Kohn Pederson Fox
Bernard Chang is a Principal at KPF and has been practicing architecture for more than 18 years throughout the world. His experience encompasses a wide range of building types, including office, retail, hotel and residential, institutional, and infrastructure and planning. Bernard currently resides in Hong Kong, where he supports various projects, operations and business development activities for KPF’s Asian practice.
An adept project manager, Bernard has coordinated the design process for many large-scale projects throughout China. He has been involved in Forum 66, a 10 million SF, mixed-use development in Shenyang, Ping An Finance Centre in Shenzhen, which will be one of the tallest buildings in China upon completion, and CTF Guangzhou, a 530-meter super high-rise tower.
More recently in China, Bernard has been working on Kerry QianHai commercial development, which features office towers, serviced apartments and retail podium. He has been involved in Spring City 66 in Kunming, which features office tower, residential tower and a retail podium, the Goldin Global Financial Center, a Grade A office building located in new CBD area of Hong Kong. In Beijing, Bernard worked on the Wang Fu Jing International Brand Center, which is a one million SF luxury retail and hotel development.
In Southeast Asia, Bernard has also involved in Rosewood Hotel and Singha Headquaters Building in Bangkok, and master plan projects in Cambodia.
Bernard has a diversity of professional architectural experience, contributing to his longstanding successes on the projects he undertakes. He is also an active member of the Hong Kong architectural community, teaching at the Arts School of Hong Kong Arts Centre and critiquing at the University of Hong Kong’s School of Architecture master’s program. Previously, he also served as the Vice President of AIA Hong Kong Chapter.
