Brian Stacy

Brian Stacy is a leading international daylighting, architectural lighting, projection and lighting controls designer. Core responsibilities include best in class skill development for Arup globally, as well as serving as Project Director on multi-disciplinary projects bringing together international teams from across the firm. His has wide ranging and vast experience in concept design development through variable execution models for a range of exterior and interior environments in the arts, cultural, retail, hospitality, and entertainment industries. Brian leads his team to understand the brand, aesthetic and programmatic goals that are tailored to each project’s needs. He stresses on holistic design solutions that integrate daylighting and electric lighting with the architectural fabric.
His work has ranged in scale from large urban lighting masterplans, to iconic bridge and airport projects scale projects, through to temporal urban art installations and jewel-box museums. Since joining Arup, Stacy has been instrumental in building an international network of lighting designers within Arup. As a part of the multi-disciplinary approach, Stacy takes an active role leading project work for the New York City office, and looks to incorporate sustainable principals even into iconic features. Prior to joining Arup, Stacy was the resident lighting designer at The Field Museum in Chicago, Illinois. During this residency he designed exhibition lighting for new installations and major renovations.
