Carmelo Arancon

Associate Director, WTA Architecture & Design Studio

Carmelo Arancon is an Associate Director and one of the key design leaders at WTA Architecture and Design Studio, leading a studio responsible for high-end residences, major commercial developments, masterplans, and design competitions.

An ARB/RIBA registered architect and graduate of The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, Carmelo began his career in London, working on major transport and infrastructure projects before bringing his international experience to WTA in 2021.

His work engages closely with the intersection of architectural expression, materiality, building systems, and technical delivery—particularly the challenge of translating ambitious design ideas into high-performing, buildable architecture. His portfolio spans complex developments across multiple scales, alongside experimental work exhibited at the Festival des Architectures Vives in Montpellier, France. He has also taught architecture at Taylor’s University in Malaysia. Carmelo brings an international, design-led perspective to the evolving relationship between architecture, building technology, and the contemporary façade.
