Carrie Moore

Director, SOM

As Director at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM), Carrie Moore is expert at implementing complex projects, particularly for institutional clients. Her recent work includes the Milstein Teaching and Learning Center for Barnard College, Wellesley College Science Center and the P.S. 62R Net Zero Energy public school on Staten Island, a living laboratory for innovation in sustainability. She was the technical coordinator for SOM’s High School of Art and Design and P.S. 59, a mixed-use building incorporating a residential tower with two schools in Manhattan.

Carrie directs documentation, coordination, and implementation, ensuring that every project fulfills the design, technical, sustainability, schedule and budget goals, while minimizing disruption during construction activities. She works to create thorough and accurate documentation that supports quality workmanship on the part of contractors, with deliverables that are clear and unambiguous. She brings to her work significant experience in façade design, regulatory approvals, New York City building codes, and working with construction managers. Carrie holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Cincinnati, College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning. She joined SOM in 2004.
