Christopher Tiltman

Senior Architect, White Young Qatar

Studied at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London and worked in practices there undertaking industrial developments and in the West Country where the projects were mainly Hospital Developments and Disabled Care Facilities, before taking up a position with a British Architectural Practice in Doha in 1984, working on Qatar Government Civil Defence Developments.

After completion of the projects in 1986 he relocated to London with John R Harris Partnership, developing High End Residential Properties and working on the New Generation Prison Master planning for the Home Office.

John R Harris also had a Qatar office to which he transferred in 1992, working on Sports Facilities and Hospital Developments.

Chris joined White Young Qatar in 2001 undertaking mixed Government and Corporate Projects, Residential Compounds and Mall development.

More recently, he has been dealing increasingly with the effects of the changing development market and how factors been affecting project safety, build quality and particularly the overall performance when any incident occurs in a tall building.
