Country Manager/Project Director, Turner
C.J Chen is the Country Manager of Turner International Malaysia. He has been with Turner International for the past 23 years, starting as a concrete superintendent at Taipei 101 project in 2000. Upon completing the then-tallest building in the world, he was relocated to Turner International Middle East to work on Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, from the foundation to its completion. His extensive experience in design, construction and project management in super high-rise buildings provided him with an opportunity with Turner International Malaysia in 2014 as the project manager for Merdeka 118, the 2nd tallest building in the world. Few people in our industry command as keen an understanding of the challenges of high-rise construction as C.J.
C.J oversees the entire operation of Turner International Malaysia with the primary focus on Merdeka Development, which consists of Merdeka 118 Tower, the 1,000,000 sqft 118 Mall, infrastructure works, a podium with ballrooms and an auditorium and three residential towers.
