Claude Touikan

Co Founder & Executive Director, Lead8

Claude is a Co Founder and Executive Director of Lead8, based in Vancouver. A Madagascar-born Chinese Canadian, he has dedicated his career to the practice of architecture and design around the world.

He serves on the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) Continuing Education Committee Board of Trustees and chairs the Council on Vertical Urbanism (CVU) Vancouver Chapter. Claude is also member of the RAIC and a registered architect with OAQ, AIBC, and HKIA.

Claude leads design teams on major mixed-use developments across Asia, North America, and the Middle East. His portfolio notably features Central Yards – an iconic “groundscraper” redefining Hong Kong’s New Central Harbourfront – and 11 SKIES, an award-winning future retail, dining and entertainment (RDE) destination connected to Hong Kong International Airport.

Passionate about design, Claude oversees the weekly design review workshops across Lead8’s studios and regularly shares industry insights on AI, smart cities, social currency, and sustainable design.
