Colin MacKillop, AIA, LEED AP, CDT, is a Principal at Quinn Evans and established architect in the design and restoration of cultural institutions, delivering high-performing facilities that engage and inspire. With extensive experience in museum and events venue modernization, Colin combines visitor-focused placemaking with advanced building systems and sustainable strategies. His award-winning work reflects an innovative approach to spatial design, detailing, and environmental stewardship that is developed through close collaboration with clients to accomplish their goals. For more than a decade, Colin has led the Smithsonian Institution’s National Air and Space Museum revitalization project, which is the first LEED Gold certified renovation on the National Mall, and set to fully reopen in Summer 2026. His portfolio also includes the University of Delaware’s Roselle Center for the Arts, and the Claudelands Events Centre in New Zealand.
