Daniel Sundlin is a partner at BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group, where he has played a pivotal role in shaping some of the firm’s most iconic projects. After studying architecture at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, he joined BIG’s Copenhagen office in 2008. He later moved to New York City to help establish BIG’s US presence, becoming a partner in 2014. Daniel has led major projects like the VIA West57 residential building in Manhattan, The Heights Public School in Arlington, and Google’s new campus in Mountain View. His work spans international urban-scale initiatives, including Penang South Islands in Malaysia and the OCEANIX Busan floating city prototype. A regular guest critic at architecture schools, Daniel also serves as a juror for American Institute of Architects (AIA) design awards.
