Daniel Wendler

Associate, David Chipperfield Architects

After training as a mason, Daniel Wendler studied architecture at the Technische Universität Berlin and has been working as a qualified architect since 2001. In 2005 Daniel joined David Chipperfield Architects Berlin. As project architect Daniel has been responsible for the planning and site design supervision of wide range of projects, including the interior design of the Empire Riverside Hotel in Hamburg, the Peek & Cloppenburg Flagship Store in Vienna and the transformation and renovation of the Kaisergalerie in Hamburg. Together with Michael Freytag, he led the design for the refurbishment of the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin. Daniel became an associate in the Berlin office in 2017. Since 2018 he has been project architect for the Elbtower in Hamburg, together with Thomas Pyschny. Further to this, Daniel took on the role of project manager in 2021, supervising a number of projects in this capacity.
