David Clayton

Global Design Principal, Aedas

David Clayton, a UK-registered architect with over 23 years of experience. He joined Aedas in 1997 and is now a Global Design Principal. He graduated with a distinction in Bachelor of Architecture at the Cardiff University and was awarded as the best BArch Student of his year and received the Alwyn Lloyd Prize.

David is a talented architect striving for vision and innovation on every project he has worked upon. He is particularly strong at project leadership and has an in-depth knowledge on architectural detailing, procurement strategy, and construction process. This allows him to deliver high quality projects and gained his Client’s trust for repeated works.

Under his project directorship, he led a team of 20 designers to successfully deliver the 250,000 Center 66 mixed use development in Wuxi and 220,000sq.m Olympic 66 retail mall in Dalian for Hang Lung Properties. He is now completing the Heartland 66 mixed use development in Wuhan for the same client.

Over the years the projects David involves and delivers have won several internationally design excellence awards such as MIPIM ASIA, APPA, CITYSCAPE, IPA as well as HKIA Awards.
