Principal Architect, Ace Group Architects
Dinesh Verma (India, 1959) has had a prolific career in the architectural field, now spanning nearly four decades. Having graduated from IIT, Mumbai in 1982, he went on to establish ACE Group Architects in Bangalore in 1984. Which, under his leadership today, has designed and executed a plethora of projects across the country.
Over the years, educational and institutional architecture has been his area of special focus and involvement. Today, he has designed more than 70 schools, 8 engineering colleges and 2 universities. Multinational companies like GE, HP are working in environments designed by him.
Innovation in design, versatility and team work are the vital elements that make up Vermas philosophy. A twice recipient of the Architect of the Year and Social Architect of the Year Award by Sahara-Accomodation Times, the latest feather in Vermas’ cap is the BERG – Business Excellence & Research Group, Singaprore Award for the Best Institutional Architect in 2015.
Currently, the managing editor of Antarya, a bi-annual journal released by IIID-Bangalore, Verma constantly strives to bring the architectural and design community together. His efforts have been recognised by Rotary Club of Bangalore South, and Indian Institute of Architects-Karnataka they have instituted an annual award-citation in his name, titled the ‘Rashi – Dinesh Verma Green Building Award’ to encourage the use of sustainable practices within the architectural fraternity.
