Executive Technical Director, New Hospital Programme
Doug is a highly motivated, conscientious, and technically strong Chartered Engineer with over 15 years’ experience working predominantly in the building services sector, advanced manufacturing (advanced DfMA/modular housing), and organisational transformation.
With experience delivering multiple high-rise building designs with some of the UK’s leading clients and design teams and leading the development of the multidisciplinary design and engineering programme for Laing O’Rourke’s (LO’R) modular housing product. He led transformational activities including the development of the LO’R hospital design blueprint and the design, manufacturing, and delivery of bathroom pods. Experience also includes project delivery on site at Brighton 3Ts hospital and Cadence S5 in King’s Cross.
Doug is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and currently sits on the CIBSE Technology Committee and the Council for Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) UK Chapter Executive Committee. Additionally, he is an Honorary Professor at UCL CGCE.
